What is included in the nightly price and what costs extra?
The rental price includes the campervan, full insurance, all essential camping equipment, and the standard cleaning fee.
How much does is cost to rent a campervan in Ireland?
Campervan rental pricing in Ireland typically ranges from €80 to €250+ per night, depending on the size of the van, the time of year, and how long you’re hiring it for.
At Lone Wolf Camper, nightly rates start from €149 during quieter periods, rise to €179 in spring and autumn, and peak at €210 per night during the summer months — with a minimum of just 3 nights, making it perfect for a long weekend or a longer adventure.
How does the security deposit work and when is it refunded?
A €1200 security deposit is required before your rental begins. It covers the insurance excess, damages, or extra cleaning if needed.
If there’s an accident, the deposit may be used as the insurance excess, with the remaining costs covered by insurance. Minor damages (up to €1200) may also be deducted from the deposit.
The deposit is refunded within 24 hours after the campervan is returned and inspected, provided there are no damages or additional charges.
Are there any extra charges I could be billed after return?
Yes. Extra charges may apply if the campervan is returned in poor condition, for example:
- €100 if the van is returned very dirty or with rubbish left inside
- €100 if the waste water tank or toilet cassette is not emptied
- €100 if the diesel tank is not refilled (full-to-full policy)
- €120 if a cigarette smell is detected and ozone cleaning is required
- Motorway tolls may also be charged after the trip (calculated individually)
Any applicable costs are deducted from the security deposit.
What is the cancellation policy if my plans change?
You can cancel your booking with a 15% cancellation fee. However, cancellations are not possible within 30 days of the rental start date.
How are toll charges calculated for the campervan?
Toll charges are deducted based on how many toll gates you pass during your journey. After you return the campervan, we check the toll usage on eFlow and then deduct the corresponding amount for the tolls used.
